Just watched Hardtalk with interview between Steven Sackur and Roger Waters.
Interesting to see how he has changed. More interesting was him stating very keen on a new album?! WOOHOO!
He also stated that his last album did not get the recognition it deserved and he is kind of right. Though in a Planet Rock Radio survey it came in at number 3 for albums by rock artists who were previously in big bands.
Surprising for me David Gilmour's album On an Island came in at number one. Yes I liked that track from it that received a lot of airplay but I guess I need to hear the rest of it.
But Roger Water's Amused to Death was an amazing listen from beginning to end and over an hour if I recall?! For me that is a rare thing and an absolute must for rating an album a classic.
To give a contrast and as much as I love The Division Bell track 5 lets it down. Thankfully only track 5, lol.
Looking forward to see that released.
Of course he was asked the obvious question, and questions, that idiot media waste their time asking. Though he was strangely diplomatic about it.
A good interview and pleased I see it.
