NINE INCH NAILS or NIN: THE FRAGILE

OK this is a new band of music I have gotten into but a bit late admittedly and due directly to TWO fantastic film scores.

The first of these was The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, Rooney Mara version, and The Book of Eli and the two people responsible for them. They would be the NIN front man Trent Raznor and producer of four of NIN's albums, Atticus Ross.

I was hoping to hear some more music like these two OSTs and I have. SO now I just have to buy the FOUR with Atticus Ross' involvement before buying all the others, lol.

Stunning, unique and a fresh style of harmonic landscapes the likes of which my ears have never heard!

Now I just need to listen to this while focused once or twice maybe to see if this hits such high notes as the movie soundtracks. If not I will STILL buy them all in the hope to hit those extreme highs once again!

In fact not since my beloved Radiohead have a been hit square in the jaw with a big slimy Trout with a new sound... err or OLD sound, lol.

The greatest underachieving album of all time for me this one!

Titles not helping much but JLTF-1 and JLTF are unbelievably beautiful. In fact many are top notch and the title track is beautiful too.

In fact though I had heard and fell in lobe with Play and the obvious tracks never before did i get a bigger shock when i gave this a listen .. and then another and then ten listens later...

'Why the f... have I not heard this album mentioned?'

or in another way when there are TV series aplenty with nothing but manufactured and utterly forgettably crap music by a Simon Cowell this goes by unnoticed by me?!

There really is NO justice in the world today anywhere or indeed in ANY industry! Or so it seems at any rate!

For those of you who have been on my Corruption in the UK blog and noted that I always greeted a mate by stating ... What's the Frequency, Kenneth? well this is the album it comes from!

And YES his name was Ken, but he hated Kenneth so I used this line a great deal!

REM! Oh what a band this was and how many different unique sounds and styles they managed to achieve. This being just one then there is Out of Time, Green, Eponymous and Automatic for the People to name but a few.

Sadly disbanded now but then my god they did do enough albums! Got to run out of ideas sometime, lol!!

MY ALBUM SERIES: Alanis Morisette Jagged Little Pill

There IS and quite simply NOTHING I would not do for this woman!! LMAO!

A voice and a songwriter there will never be again, her own style, look and great tunes and I cannot fathom for the life of me why I cannot digitise this CD into FLAC files?!

I originall thought it faulty and was going to return it to HMV but then it played NORMALLY in my Yamaha Natural Sound CD Player but NOT in my laptop's CD player?!

Funny as it behaves like a CD that has one of these very nasty and ill conceived DRM copyright protection on it?! But it does NOT state this which is bad in BOTH respects in all honesty.

Yup stunts like that is a sure fire way to DRIVE people to piracy, it really is. You piss off the ones that ARE buying CDs? Umm you did know that it was file SHARING that was the problem. As for copyright protection yes well it only takes ONE to crack that and your done for.

Even more disturbing were rumours of it buggering up peoples players, has not happened to mine thank god or I would have gone ballistic!

Have another go at getting it on my Sony Walkman soon?!

MY ALBUMS SERIES: PINK FLOYD THE DIVISION BELL

Oh I will never forget the year this was released...EVER.

Removing track 5 would make this an absolute classic and up there right behind the BIG THREE of Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here and The Wall.

My daughter was still with me that year but also gone by the end of the year.

I managed to go to the concert in Earl's Court despite my evil ex stealing the two tickets and elling them in LOOT?! LMAO.

First four tracks are incredible and after 5 sublime. In fact there is one very serious and major flaw with this album I will never forgive them for!!!

I expected another one after 5 or 7 years as Mr Gilmour states several times!! Man alive, MAN!! You get the three of you, i.e. Track ^ Wearing the Inside Out, producing music like that and then call it a day?!

GROAN!!

I got excited about the return of Richard Wright in a BOG WAY and that sound of his back on the best things in years and then patiently waited for more!

LMAO!

Wonderous and I cannot tell you of how many times I played Marooned on a loop one day, lol, as I simply lost count.

NEW KLIPSCH HEADPHONES ??

Well I once wanted to buy a pair of headphones by Klipsch but ended up being forced to look elsewhere. Due to an email from them I had a look on Amazon at their models again and foud a fair few I had not seen before!

There is even one specifically for Android Devices!!

Now hats off to them as I for one and sick and tired of seeing iPhone after iPhone specific products and turns my stomach that companies like Sony cater more for the rotten Apples than they do their own devices and therefore their own customers.

There also seems to be a number of headphones not seen, or maybe even not noticed. Originally it was the Klipsch S4 I had my eyes on and they are now reduced somewhat.

What always appealed to me is that they always are highly regarded and very little in the way of negativity can be found about them. Whereas some other top names can get duff reviews on a model or two do not find this with Klipsch or at least not the ones I have normally read about.
